Macy’s unveils Marilyn Monroe collection

Its almost been 60 years after her death, but the ‘Some Like It Hot’  actress still continues to be the inspiration and muse for many fashion designers and brands.

So later this month Macy’s will launch a “Marilyn Monroe Collection” both online and in stores, that will be targeted towards younger market of 16-22 year old females.

The collections includes sundresses, halter dresses

and t-shirts inspired by Marilyn.

The collection will retail from $29 to $89.

The Marilyn Monroe collection is one of 13 new brands the

department store is rolling out.

Party like it was 1920….

So this weekend we partied like it was 1920….

The ‘Fashion Sorority Girls’ got dressed up and danced the night away, while drinking cocktails from tea cups, having a flutter on the roulette table, dancing to a live band and well…. having a jolly well good time!

There was fur, feathers, diamonds, sparkle & more diamonds…..

The 1920′s parties are held in London every month tickets are around £20.00

Be my bridesmaid….

So with wedding season soon to be upon us its time to think about who

will be your bridesmaids (if you are planning on having any at all)

So Last October one of my Miss D got engaged and I had the

honour of being asked to be bridesmaid.

This is the most fabulous gift I was given…

She really does know us too well…..

So now that I too needed to ask my gal pals to be bridesmaids

I was a little stuck for ideas?

So when I came across this wonderful company who make

I then went to my favourite antique shop and purchased

San Francisco Fun!!!

HELLO DARLING’S

SO EVERY YEAR WE HEAD OFF TO THE US OF A IN SEARCH OF THE MOST AMAZING VINTAGE TREASURES ESPECIALLY FOR YOU DARLING’S! THIS YEAR TOOK US TO THE VIBRANT CITY OF SAN FRANCISCOWHERE THE VINTAGE SHOPPING SCENE WAS PROBABLYONE OF THE BEST PACES WE HAVE BEEN TOO!

WE STARTED OUR TRIP WITH NEWS YEARS EVE COCKTAIL PARTY ABROAD ‘THE CHARDONNAY’ YACTCH, WHERE WE MEET SOME FABULOUS PEOPLE AND PARTIED THE NIGHT AWAY UNDER THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, TOPPED OFF WITH A FABULOUS BACK DROP OF THE SAN FRANCISCO SKY LINE WITH MOST SPLENDID FIREWORKS ON DISPLAY.

Our shopping spree started in the area of ‘Haight’ and literally every shop we went into we came out with bags filled to the brim of vintage goods.

After a long day of shopping we headed to the ‘Bourban and Branch’ cocktail club, a speakeasy 1920s prohibition style club, where we had to quote a secret pass code in order to get in. There was no photography allowed….

All I can say is the cocktails were super super strong!

The following morning we then headed over to the famous landmark ‘The Golden Gate Bridge’ which I cycled over…. whilst of course wearing my Vivienne Westwood gold ballroom style heels!

After all that shopping and cycling we headed to ‘Brenda’s soul food’ a French New Orleans style restaurant where the food was amazing!  and the highlight was their famous Beignet’s….

We the continued on our vintage shopping trip in the ‘Mission’ district where again we found many more fabulous finds!

We then headed over to the stunning Japanese Gardens based in the

‘Golden Gate Bridge Park’…

After all that shopping we travelled to Napa Valley to the small town of Yountville, where we drank lots of wine and I discovered I’m a Pinot noir girl! My favorite wine came from ‘Hope and Grace’ a family run vineyard in Napa it really was amazing!

Curtain call…. The ‘Crazy Horse Girls’ last London show!

So this evening marks the end of the ‘Crazy Horse Girls’ time in London, who have taken The South bank by storm over the last few months.

I was lucky enough to be given 2 complementary VIP tickets by the shows producers….and what a show it was!

Having already been to see the Las Vegas show my expectations were high! I can tell you that they did not disappoint, it really was a fabulous show!

 A celebration of the inexhaustible subject of womanhood. Starring the famous Crazy Dancers direct from Paris, the 2 hour London show (including 30 minute interval) is undeniably stylish, inexplicably fashionable, 100% entertaining!

More than ten million people have watched the Crazy Horse show across the globe.

All I can say is if you didn’t go see them…. you sure did missed out!
